Formulation Scientist
- Participate in the pre-formulation, formulation, and process development
aspects of pharmaceutical dosage form development projects using Aprecia’s
proprietary technology.
- Development of formulations and manufacturing processes for
pharmaceutical dosage forms intended for the commercial market
using 3DP technology.
- Identifying container-closure systems.
- Develop formulations for use in clinical trials.
- Manufacture and evaluate trial formulations to assess commercial
viability.
- Ensure that data are generated to support the formulation along
with process parameters.
- Properly document all formulation and development work and adequately
maintain laboratory notebooks and records.
- Write and review technical reports as required for complete
and thorough documentation of product development activities.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports or author technical
reports.
- Transfer technology to production operations.
- Assist in the preparation of Regulatory Documents.
- Where applicable, perform job responsibilities in compliance
with cGMP/cGLP and all other regulatory agency requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain an awareness of the proper use and maintenance of processing
and laboratory equipment along with the development facility.
- Properly address safety and environmental issues.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. degree in pharmaceutical sciences, or a B.S. degree in chemical
sciences, engineering, or related area with knowledge or experience
of formulation development.
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in
the United States. Aprecia Pharmaceuticals does not anticipate
providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN
status) for this employment position.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS/PREFERENCES:
- Background knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and research fundamentals.
- At least two years experience in the formulation development of
pharmaceutical dosage forms preferred.
- Experience with following and writing SOPs and GMP records.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
